Welcome to my mind

Ask and you shall receive…..

I am a wife, mother of six children -all still in school, a soccer coach, a gourd and chicken farmer, a gardener, writer, poet, and artist.

I am an activist and I fight for the rights of the disenfranchised like people experiencing homelessness or adoptees fighting for OBCs.

I volunteer at Food in the Fort, which provides hot meals and a food pantry for anyone in need – especially people experiencing homelessness.  I also volunteer at Beardsley Farms, which is a fully functioning urban farm which provides fresh, organic produce to local organizations.  We bring produce from Beardsley to Food in the Fort.

I am also a adult trans-racial  mixed race (Black and White) adoptee.

Sara, I found ur name in a post from a recently “temporarily” disbanded group. Im a Birth Mom of a beautiful Bi-racial little girl. I dont want to say a lot more here. I hope to b able to talk more on fb. The short time Ive spent listening to the PVs of POC and Adult Adoptes has been a true blessing.

You are welcome to “friend” me on FB, I talk about a lot of racial issues there – sometimes about adoption – but I tend to blog more about adoption and post on FB about racial things. Thank you!
