Despair

Despair is when you feel like every option is exhausted
And you are exhausted
And you just don’t know
Where to go
What to think
Or even what’s the point?
When everyone around you
Has let you down
And you can trust no one
Because there is no one
Left to trust
And all you have are responsibilities
Paying the price
Of someone else’s debts
And you don’t have enough
Looking into a future
From  bleak past
And seeing that it’s all
Just a spiral staircase
Down into a pit of oblivion
And there’s no way out.
That’s what despair feels like
